Country Music is at it’s best when it’s offered from the heart.  Every now and then someone comes along with enough of life’s dust on them to, know the truths of which they sing.

    Jolie Holliday is a young lady but she sings country music from the perspective of a knowing, old soul. She is a daughter of the Lone Star State and twang seems to be as much a part of her as it is Texas.

    This collection on songs is rooted in tradition but comes across with a twenty-first century swagger. Jolie’s music is listenable, danceable, and cry-able.  What more could you ask from a hillbilly singer and her band?

    The production of this project was overseen by country fiddle master Hank Singer. As she’s always done, Holliday has surrounded herself with par excellent country musicians.  The result is a collection of readily performed tunes that should bring Miss Jolie Holliday to the forefront as a bright country star.
